Find a Unit

Be A scout.org is a national website to help you find a unit any where in the USA.

Step #3: Sign Up

After you find and visit a unit  you need to fill out an application to sign up for Scouting.

https://my.scouting.org is a national scouting membership portal to collect applications and get your information to the unit you want to join. Create an account and fill out an online application.

If you haven’t already, we recommend you visit a unit first to see if they are a fit for you.  You can pay your national fees for joining on this website also. There is a national fee and each unit does have a local fee. (see the unit for more information).

This is the site you’ll go to, to get training as a parent or a leader including Youth Protection Training. Remember and Save this login, as you will use it regularly during your Scouting adventure.

Step #4: Get a Uniform

The uniform and insignia of the Boy Scouts of America gives a Scout visibility and creates a level of identity within both the unit and the community. The uniform is used to promote equality while showing individual achievement.  The unit your joining may have gently used uniforms to share, don’t forget to ask.
